Note: This is inspired by The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and X-Men. Logan involuntarily travels back and forth in time and while he travels he visits Dawn throughout various point of her life. This is immensely AU from both the Veronica Mars universe and Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

"I'm not supposed to talk to strangers," she says matter-of-factly, a dark purple bruise showing on her flesh as she pushes her sleeves up to get the pony out of the mud.

I'm not exactly a stranger.

"My name's Logan," I tell her. "Now you know me."

"When are you coming from?" I ask him.

"2006," he tells me. He almost looks awkward at this and I wonder why. My face cools and finally he speaks. "This is the third time I've done this thing," he explains. "The whole time leaping thing."
