Blood rushing through those veins so fast that it’s hard to hear anything else but the pounding of his heart and his world going completely eggshell white, he can feel absolutely everything and simultaneously not a goddamn thing. There’s Sammy kneeling beside him and he’s in the middle of a road; a crossroad where he made a deal and where he’s trying to survive long enough to get through those last dying breaths.
Fuck.
“Sammy?”
Hair pouring down the front of his face, Sam can barely acknowledge his voice with any form of body language.
“Don’t hate me,” Dean says.
